I first learned about Gethsemane prayer group in 2006, when they organized a spiritual retreat with Fr. James Manjackal, MSFS. I was very impressed with their charisms and service to the Catholic faithful and turned to them for help on several occasions.
I first seeked their help when I was finishing school and was financially and otherwise in a dire situation for some time. They gave me not only a prayerful support, but also a Biblical verse – And my God will fulfil all your needs out of the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. Phil 4: 19 – to which I hung steadfastly and everything turned out well in the end.
I further seeked their help for a health issue and was thoroughly amazed when they gave me a citation from the prophet Jeremiah, which promised a successful resolution of a far more important issue I had been facing all of my life and about which they had absolutely no way of knowing.
A few years later they kindly supported us in the prayers for healing of a family member, who suffered from an invasive type of cancer at the time and whom the Lord miraculously healed in the end.
Their prayers were also heared when we organized a prayer for a Croatian Franciscan priest in Germany, who had a weak kidney function and whose stronger kidney had to be taken out due to a malignant tumor in it. Although the chief surgeon had announced an inevitable permanent dialysis to the priest before the operation, much to our amazement and delight, the weaker kidney started filtering the blood successfully against all odds. A particular added value of Gethsemane support here was again a Biblical verse they provided to which the priest clinged in faith on the eve of the surgery.
Last, but not least, I seeked their help for our national cause when a Croatian generals from the Defensive Homeland War of the 90-ies were unjustly imprisoned at the International Tribunal in the Haague and falsely indicted, only to be found completely innocent and subsequently acquitted. This was a great victory of prayer, indeed.
I very much thank every Gethsemane member and the group as a whole for their generous assistance in our time of need. I would like to mention that were also helped by Fr. James Manjackal, Chartreusse monks, Croatian prayer groups and friends as well as a visionary in Medjugorje in the above cases and that we offered wholehearted thanks to the Lord afterwards.

For the past two weeks I was having pain on the right side of my chest, I didn’t tell anyone about. On Saturday night I attended the night vigil at Gethsemane Center at Welland port, the pain increased, I ignored it by praying and singing louder, Yesterday (Sunday) morning I came home, slept for about three hours, when I woke up, the pain was still there. My imaginations were running wild, thinking about the worst case scenario. At three in the noon I joined the Hour of Mercy, at the end of the prayers, Br Suresh announced someone in this group is being healed of chest pain, he mentioned left ventricular pain. I claimed it for myself, after the prayers I pressed my chest the pain was still there, as the evening progressed I forgot about the pain, this morning when I got up, I remembered about the pain, and pressed my chest, there was no pain at all, today the whole day I didn’t feel any pain. I believe that my Lord has healed me. All glory and praise to our living God.
July first week I noticed some discolouration in my breast and was really troubled because of this. My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer almost 7 year back and because of this I was under a lot of tension. Sometime back one of our friends had told us about the Gethsemane ministries. I thought of giving a prayer request and was checking out the website. I happen to see the live stream link for the friday prayers and decided to attend it. I attended the prayer service online on July 11 for the first time. During the praise and workship Br Suresh was calling out about people being touched and healed. I was praying for some sort of sign for myself and at that very moment Br said that someone who is suspecting breast cancer, God is saying there is no cancer in your body. I claimed that promise in Jesus’s name and believed that the message was intended for me. Later I went to consult my dr, and she said that it is just some sort of infection and nothing to worry. Today I am completely healed. I believe that this experiencewas to bring me more closer to God. Eventhough I go to church and attend mass I never had time for personal prayers. Now I find time for prayers and reading Bible. Praise the Lord for all the blessings in our life.

In March my landlord asked me to prayer for her friend Monica who lives in Denmark who had cancer. I’ve been praying for her and in late May Brother Suresh asked the group to unmute and call out prayer needs. So I asked Brother Suresh to pray for Monica De Bellis in Denmark who has cancer. She was lifted up in prayer and Brother Suresh said the Lord is healing her. A couple weeks ago ( I don”t recall exactly when) Brother Suresh said someone is getting test results back and is cancer free. I claimed this for Monica. Today, I received the news that the doctor said she is cancer free. I’m sharing the video I received of the doctor confirming the results with the prayer group with her permission. ( It is not to be shared outside the group.) You will hear her surprise and joy. Thank you everyone. Dear Suresh and Intercessory prayer team,
I sent in a prayer request to GM via website on May 27th asking for prayers for Katalin to find a good clinical trial for her cancer. We have also been praying for her during the hour of mercy prayer daily. Today at the evening prayer service I requested prayers for her again. While we were in prayer I received the following message from her.
“Thank you Naomi. God heard all our prayers and this afternoon I got the phone call that I am IN. So, yes I am starting new treatment this Monday morning under the clinical trial. I pray and hope that this will be a very good treatment option for me. God willing this could trigger a miracle. I would love to have a miraculous recovery. BUT not my will but God’s will.
Thank you Thank you so very much for all your continued prayers. I can’t say enough! I wish you and all the lovely people who pray for me abounded God’s blessing. God will reward all of you for your kind caring.

A testimony to Josiah’s prayer On Wednesday January 8, we were cleaning and I think something bit me. My hand started swelling and became red patches and itchy. It started to burn and I was applying lotion to cool it. My 10 year old son Josiah came over and said it is bad but I can pray for you. He said he is listening to Brother Suresh’s talks and the nuns who came for the day retreat taught him a couple of tricks to pray. So he got his rosary and placed his hands on my head and started praying. Immediately the burning sensation stopped. After an hour the patches were gone the swelling subsided and my hand was back to normal. It was his faith that healed me. Praise the Lord.

At Eucharistic Adoration yesterday evening at Gethsemane Centre for the feast of our Lady of Fatima, I had a mystical experience; and I was literally taken to another realm for about 25 mins. I felt the ground under me shift. It was as if I was kneeling in mid-air. The same encounter happened this morning in my private chapel. I celebrated Mass this morning, but I didn’t feel alone in doing so which has been my previous feeling in this COVID -19. A surest peace entered me last night in Eucharistic Adoration – it has not left me. I’m grateful for the graces received in opening myself to Jesus in Eucharistic Adoration. I shall enter into the deeper encounter again today.

Dear Brother Suresh, I have been participating in the Divine Mercy chaplet and prayers and I want to thank you for helping me get into praise and worship prayers. I didn’t do this much before.I have been suffering from some indigestion since the beginning of April and every morsel of food I ate was making me uncomfortable, even drinking water. But this morning from the moment I woke I began praising and worshiping God, much like you lead us in the Divine Mercy hour. I focused on praising God rather than worrying about my health.I lifted every cell and drop of blood in my body to praise and glorify God. I want to share that this morning after many days I have enjoyed a good breakfast without any difficulty. Sophia and Freddy, my good friends, had invited me to join the prayer sessions and I am so grateful to them and you Brother Suresh. God bless you all. Praise and Thank God. We want to testify and thank God for the gift of a child in our marriage. We have been praying for a child since four years and we are so grateful to Suresh and Gethsemane Ministries for all the prayers, intercession and support we have received through the years. We want to give glory to God and testify that our God is good and deserves all our praise. We truly believe that our God’s delay is not his denial.
When our company went into bankruptcy, I started looking for a job and ended up with a good job which was far away from home and a little hard for me to travel. I asked Jesus why do you give me a hard time. I didn’t tell anything to the management but only to Jesus. My name is Liston and my wife’s name is Clarissa, we live in Zambia, we have been trying for a child for more than a year. We consulted many doctors and everything was normal as per reports but still my wife did not conceive. We were getting a bit restless about it but we had strong faith that God will bless us in his best time. We continued praying and waited for the good news to arrive, many months passed by and we were getting more anxious. I knew Brother Suresh through my best friends in Canada and I had consulted Brother Suresh sometime back to pray over my father and mother who were undergoing Kidney transplant surgery. Brother Suresh prayed over my family and by God’s grace everything went on well. I felt I must speak to Brother Suresh about me and my wife and our wish to be blessed with a child. It was on 28 Jan 2019 I messaged brother Suresh and he immediately asked me to contact him via phone call. I narrated about our long desire of having a child and brother Suresh instantly prayed over me and my wife and after about few minutes Brother told me that he can sense God blessing me and my wife with a child. I was taken by surprise but felt a sign of belief. Brother told me that me and my wife must prepare ourselves to receive God’s gift. We need to do a good confession and we need to continue praying daily. Brother Suresh also told us to read Matthew 6:33 and Psalm 127:3. It was soon after Easter when my wife went for her checkup on 29 April, we were told based on her reports that she was 6 weeks pregnant, Praise the Lord and we Thank God for blessing us. My name is Sally Alex, from Hamilton. I wish to testify about my mother Saramma Thomas, 97 yrs old. On November 27, 2019 during the Glory and Praise Prayer meeting at the Gethsemane Centre at Wellandport, Br.Suresh Dominic and team laid hands on everyone gathered there and prayed. Then Br.Suresh gave a message that someone has sleeping problem, that is being unable to sleep. He added that if anyone recognize it, then testify next Wednesday. This is what happened to my mother Saramma Thomas.She could not sleep well at night.She used to wake up several times during night.She was very perturbed. We never recognize that she had sleeping problem because we thought it is due to her old age. Matthew 19:26 says that ‘For mortals it is impossible but for God all things are possible.’ After the prayers, by the grace of God my mother (Saramma Thomas) got sound sleep throughout the night still now.
